Febraury 6th, 2009

Today was our first day back on the ship after Morocco. For the next 7 days we will be at sea on our way to Namibia. Last night was a pretty rocky night on the ship and I have a video of me and Beau in our room with our drawers and tables falling all over the place. Classes started again today it is hard to get used to not being in class for 10 days and then come back to have classes every other day remembering things is hard. Today in my service learning class we signed up for our presentation times and days that was slightly overwhelming when looking at our schedule and realizing how many class days I would have before these things would be due.

Right after class I went to the field office to fill out a paper explaining what trips I would want in South Africa if anyone no longer wants them. I am hoping to find someone who wants to give me their Habitat for Humanity trip and if not that a trip to a local school.

I was planning on going to Erika’s aerobics class but the ship was too rocky today. So I went down to my room to find my computer working for once so I uploaded all my pictures, videos and emailed my blogs before it stopped working. I then went to my dance class, watched Kelly S. play a volleyball game, and then had dinner with the girls. After dinner I came down to my room to separate my laundry this is the first time I have done any laundry since getting on the ship. I filled two bags!!! The hallway is full of bags of laundry and Im curious when we will get them back. While cleaning my room and doing laundry I watched Gidget and then got a phone call from Dylan that her Anna and Courtney were going to pub night. I met them upstairs where we sat and talked for a little before going to the piano lounge and finally to our rooms to go to sleep.

While at pub night I ran into Jeff and Ryan who by the way are spreading the rumor that in two days on Neptune Day (the day we cross the equator) that I will be shaving my head. Jeff started this rumor in the Bahamas and has kept it going ever since. Every few days I get a few people coming up to me asking if I am really shaving my head. It is funny to see how fast the rumors spread and that people actually believe Jeff. Also today around the ship there where two boys with crutches and two with their arms in slings apparently last night during the rolling people got excited and went to the union to slide around but ended up getting hurt pretty bad while goofing around.
